Brooklyn graffiti Mural for a local restaurant. Happy to work with The Canteen to create a graffiti mural in their new restaurant located at 2436 Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn. We painted the restaurant name in a traditional NY graffiti style. These characters are surrounded by abstract graffiti lettering in a collage. Comic style letter bubbles are throughout the design for the client to add messages relating to the business & certain promotions. Check out our photos of the installation below:
The metallic fade in the letters works with the hanging light fixtures for a cool effect. We want the piece to compliment the sight lines and scenery as much as possible, in many cases. It’s nice to be able to bleed the content edges down past the booth seating for a systemic look.
The exclamation “bubbles” that we left for chalk board style messages pop in the above photograph. Also check the 70’s style heavy layered 3D on the closest piece.
Above you can see more of the comic book style “speech bubbles” and also the abstract letter collage in the foreground. This is one of the more dynamic moments in the overall mural, I think.
