Street art agency Graffiti Arts commissioned by Kapture Vision for a live Event in Los Angeles.
Kapture Vision came to us with a post game event in LA for a major sports league. The game was a League vs League all star exhibition. The event was for the owners along with executives and players. Our clients wanted to create something with an LA street art sensibility. In addition to the mural fitting into the aesthetic parameters.
Kapture Vision actually provided the flats and a place for our street art agency to do some prep painting prior to the event. Using on brand colors, we started with a semi-transparent silhouette of California beach scene. Also adding palm trees and the sun. Over top of this base we then began a texture of characters using nonsensical hieroglyphs in rows and columns. We continued the work live, and into the gridded “pattern” we then hid actual names of notable players from both leagues as easter eggs for attendees to find.
