Marathon Mural. We painted a live graffiti mural for the #HarlemRun uptown last month. At the end of the race, runners were able to take photos in front of the completed piece. We also incorporated the actual winning time into the content, as the first place runner arrived! Special thanks to the folks at Monorex for connecting us on this project. Check out some photos from the event below:
The winning time of five hours twenty six minutes and fifty three seconds above! The Apollo signage, the overpass, and street signs for One Hundred Twenty Fifth Street are unmistakably Harlem.
Above, our scenic wall flats stand in position at the finish line. Nearby, spectators cheer on their friends and also coworkers in the marathon.
Check out the photos we found of #HarlemRun marathon attendees on Instagram. A few runners still wearing their marathon numbers pose in front of our Harlem marathon mural.
We love the detail work on the bridge trusses and Apollo sign, the red really pops. A fun mix of New York icons on a sunny day in Harlem. Can’t wait to paint at the next #HarlemRun marathon mural!
