Commissioned by HRV, the mural adorns the side of their 5-story apartment building on Broadway Avenue. And adding a touch of vibrancy to the previously white wall.

Astoria, with its bustling streets and diverse community, was the perfect canvas for a mural. One that would reflect the spirit of the neighborhood. HRV, recognizing the need for a visual centerpiece, reached out to us during the pandemic with the idea of a large-scale outdoor mural. HRV had a clear vision – they wanted a mural that would be fun, vibrant, and uplifting. They wanted something that would bring a smile to the community. Along with brightening up the street. And that’s where artist Jason Woodside and Graffiti Arts partnered.
