Live Artist Mural
We had a great time creating the pop art doodle mural linked here for Alcon in 2021. A couple of recent projects have referenced the art when describing what they are looking for since then too. The Glaucoma Research Foundation was one of these clients, with whom we designed a live doodle mural. The live artist mural would take place at the Glaucoma 360 New Horizons 2023 conference.
Clearly using the Alcon format as inspiration. We added a background to this design to ground the content in San Francisco. The sun floats above an oversized Golden Gate bridge upon a stylized globe. At the same time, we were also brainstorming doodles and icons that related to the theme of the event.
Furthermore, we considered some attendee responses that were prompted by a question in an early GRF newsletter, as well. When the day of the event came, we were ready with a set of 8’x12’ wall flats prepped with the background scene and proceeded to tetris the doodles together, pulling from our soup of related doodle flash. The finished piece came together cleanly and in a deliberate fashion, the black doodles on a multi color background. Check the pics for the finished product. Our clients loved it so much they ended up keeping the entire set up to display in their HQ !
